Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team in managing the purchasing of raw materials and supplies for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our inventory levels are maintained and that all purchasing activities align with company objectives. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in inventory support, and familiarity with ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist purchasing team by processing purchase orders and tracking order status.
- Support production planning by coordinating with various departments to forecast material needs.
- Utilize ERP system to manage purchasing data and streamline procurement processes.
- Monitor availability and product specifications to inform purchasing decisions.
- Data entry.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics.
Requirements
- Experience with ERP or MRP is a plus.
- Strong understanding of aerospace practices is a big plus.
- Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
Shift
- 7:00 am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday.
