Job Summary
Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Detoxification Unit in Danvers, MA. This program provides 24-hour nursing care to support clients safely through withdrawal from alcohol and/or other substances.
The RN will play a vital role in monitoring withdrawal symptoms, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate medical and emotional support during one of the most critical stages of recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, record, and report all patient symptoms, treatment responses, and any change in safety status.
- Administer medications in accordance with facility guidelines and clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient education and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting a safe, positive, and therapeutic environment.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and support the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Support the admitting, discharge, and transfer processes within the detox unit.
- Respond promptly to patient care needs and ensure compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health preferred (not required)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced detox environment
- Local candidates and travelers are welcome to apply
- Must be separated from the BILH system for at least 6 months (perm, per diem, or travel) before returning
Schedule
- Shift: 12-hour Day Shift
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (not including on-call)
Pay DetailsTravel RN Pay (36 hours/week)
- Hourly (Taxable): $24.50
- Overtime: $36.75
- Weekly Non-Taxable Stipends: $1,519
- Total Weekly Gross: $2,401
Local RN Pay (36 hours/week)
- Hourly (Taxable): $60
- Total Weekly Gross: $2,160
