MidAmerica National Bank, a locally owned financial institution in central Illinois, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Mortgage Loan Department as a full-time Mortgage Loan Processor. Established in 1933, MidAmerica National Bank provides financial services to local communities through our branches located in Fulton, McDonough, and Marshall counties. We are currently accepting applications and resumes for a Mortgage Loan Processor in our Macomb Banking Center located in McDonough County. This position is responsible for processing mortgage loan applications from inception to post-closing (includes purchase, refinance, home equity, and construction loans) according to investor, regulatory and MNB guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and verify accuracy of loan documentation and data entry.
- Order and track necessary items such as appraisals, flood certificates, and title commitments.
- Review, scan, and submit complete loan packages in Encompass or systems.
- Manage a pipeline of mortgage loans to meet service levels and turn times.
- Prepare funding, loan delivery submissions, and daily rate sheets.
- Maintain paid loan files and submit releases for recording.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist Mortgage Department staff as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year mortgage experience or related field.
- Proficiency with Windows-based office software; Encompass experience preferred.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, show initiative, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
