What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving position at Midaco Corporation?
Fast paced Automation Machinery Manufacturer in Elk Grove Village is looking for a self-motivated Shipping & Receiving Lead. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years shipping and receiving. Competent sit-down forklift operator and must be able to lift 50 lbs daily as needed. Must be able to be on their feet for full 8 - 10 hours.
Duties
- Perform order fulfillment tasks, including picking, packing, and shipping via UPS WorldShip, FedEx, Etc.
- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, and sit down forklifts
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers and checking incoming shipments against purchase orders & outgoing material against Customer orders.
- Identify parts via blueprint
- Responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing product shipments.
- Package and label products according to company standards
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Record amounts of material or items received.
- Stock inventory in designated locations
- Perform order fulfillment tasks, including picking, packing, and shipping
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management
Experience
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, and forklifts
- Shipping & receiving
- Manufacturing Industry
- Basic math & computer skills for inventory counting and order verification
