Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) Supervisor

 Reports to:           Director of Warehousing and Transportation                  

We are seeking a dynamic Supervisor to lead our warehouse operation. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of Warehouse operations processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are optimal. Your leadership will inspire teams, optimize workflows, and implement strategic initiatives to elevate efficiencies and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute all Warehouse activities such as, but not limited to - selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

• Educate and enforce safety & quality standards and processes and recommend changes as opportunities arise on warehouse floor.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Manage warehouse-shipping operations by executing order planning, shipment execution and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the Logistics team to analyze and coordinate upcoming shipments and assign priorities.
• Collaborate with the Sales department to execute shipments according to the sales order requirements, identify shortages and request substitutions.
• Collaborate with Juarez plant, El Paso Production teams to request products, assign priorities and set target-shipping dates.
• Collaborate with Accounting team to ensure all shipments are closed and paperwork turned in accordingly.
• Meets warehouse financial standards by providing monthly budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
• Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
• Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
• Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
• Secures warehouse by turning alarms on, testing systems.
• Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• 5 years of Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor.
• Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
• Knowledge of SAP, Windows and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with CTPAT, a plus.
• BS degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management or business administration.
