We are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression at the front desk
- Schedule patient appointments using EMR systems.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures
- Collect payments and process medical billing and collections accurately
- Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and provide patient service support
- Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and data entry in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including data collection and documentation review
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Manage office supplies, filing, and general clerical duties to support clinic operations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers regarding care plans and documentation needs
- Support clinic management with administrative tasks related to medical office management and health information management
- Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration is advantageous
