Role Description The Traveling Drywall Foreman role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lebanon, TN, with regular travel to regional commercial job sites. This role oversees daily drywall and framing activities, coordinates crews, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification. The foreman reviews plans and layouts, assigns tasks, monitors progress, and inspects completed work for quality and code compliance. Responsibilities include communicating with project managers and other trades, managing materials and equipment, troubleshooting field issues, and maintaining accurate daily reports. The role also involves mentoring team members, enforcing safety protocols, and supporting a productive jobsite environment.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial Framing skills, including layout, installation of metal studs, and coordination with other building systems.
- Professional Carpentry experience with interior build-outs, blocking, and detailed finish work.
- Proficiency in Plastering and drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, sanding, and surface preparation.
- Experience in Remodeling and commercial Construction environments, with familiarity with schedules, inspections, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Demonstrated experience supervising field crews, delegating tasks, and maintaining productivity on commercial jobsites.
- Knowledge of OSHA and jobsite safety practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Reliable transportation for travel to various job locations and flexibility to work varying hours based on project needs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, trades, and clients.
