Brief Job Description
To oversee all facets of field operations at a specific work site for Mid-States Millwright & Builders (MMB) and leading Millwright I’s and II’s in small teams of 1 or more. You will work directly with MMB Site Superintendent, MMB Leadership, safety, sales, drafting and operations teams to develop plans to manage green sites and add on construction sites as well as R&M projects. Work directly with MMB selected subcontractors and MMB employees in the completion of milestones throughout the project. Complete all job-related forms associated with a job site project and ensure all communication up and down the organization is accurate and representative of MMB’s policies. This position requires a valid driver’s license as you may be assigned a company truck to transport MMB employees to job sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily on-site operations with MMB employees, subcontractors, Site Superintendents, and Project Managers.
- Lead, train, and oversee Millwright I’s and II’s to meet equipment installation standards.
- Follow project scopes and communicate milestones and next steps to the Project Manager; provide daily updates with photos.
- Ensure jobs are completed before moving to new assignments; notify Superintendent/Project Manager if not achieved.
- Conduct and document weekly toolbox talks; submit attendance to Safety Director.
- Complete administrative duties
- Close out projects with punch lists and walkthroughs with owners and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong math skills (basic operations, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, for up to 10 hours in varying conditions.
- Willing to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Advanced knowledge of agricultural equipment, operations, R&M, and/or installation.
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and customers.
- 8 years of agricultural construction industry experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative; able to track project schedules for MMB and subcontractors.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, equipment installation/user guides, and field fabrication of components.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
