1st Shift, Production Assistant
Starting wage: $14 p/hr.
Position Summary
Perform daily duties to fulfill the Packaging Departments needs for production.
This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Assistant must be able to fill in for administration in leu of absence. (Production planner)
Key Responsibilities
Run bags for all production orders, run labels if no print on bags required, and all labels for production floor as needed.
Rip/separate bags for production floor, print, fold, stuff Instruction sheets as needed, make updates as well as create packaging labels as needed, keep inventory of bags and thermal ribbon, and conduct other duties assigned
Work Context
Requires walking, standing, some telephone conversations, use of email, face-to-face discussion.
Warehouse conditions working in varying temperature (above 90 F degrees) conditions.
Requires making decisions that impact the results of co-workers, clients or the company
Emphasis on being exact or highly accurate
Must meet strict deadlines
Requires coordinating / leading others in accomplishing work activities
Working with others in a group or team, some responsibility for work outcomes and results

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: 1–3 years of manufacturing environment experience (packaging preferred)
