Specializing in tube bending and equipment setup, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality parts that power industries across America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup, program (as needed), and operate CNC tube bending machines to produce components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Select, measure, and install correct tooling, dies, and bending equipment for job specifications.
- Perform initial setups and run first-article inspections to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Conduct precision bending of tubes using both manual and automated CNC machines.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, and fine-tune equipment to correct issues and maintain tolerances.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machinery.
- Work collaboratively with quality control, engineering, and other production staff to optimize processes.
- Maintain detailed production records and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of CNC machine operation experience, with specific expertise in tube bending.
Strong understanding of machine programming basics (G-code familiarity preferred). - Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and understanding GD&T standards.
- High mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., hoists, forklifts) safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
Preferred Skills (Not Required, But a Plus):
Experience with multi-axis CNC bending machines.
- Knowledge of a variety of tubing materials (stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, etc.).
- Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
