Job Summary
As an Account Manager, you will be personally responsible for — and rewarded for — driving the ongoing success of Mid-State Industrial Maintenance (MSIM). You will help develop and execute a go-to-market strategy that aligns customer and prospect needs with the capabilities of the MSIM family of companies. Beyond profitable growth within core accounts, success is also measured by expanding our client base in targeted vertical market segments and extending our reach into new geographies.
The chosen Account Manager will join an elite team supporting the execution of the Division Sales Manager’s strategy and multi-year business plan. This role offers strong earning potential and a defined path to career growth by delivering profitable revenue and vertical market share gains.
Key Responsibilities
Talk/Hear The ability to hear and to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words. The ability to communicate and convey information and ideas verbally so others will understand.
Standing/Sitting: Constantly must have the ability to sit while driving long distances and while in meetings and stand for presentations.
Walking: Frequently m ust walk well enough to travel in and outdoor industrial sites of varying terrain and elevations.
Use Hands/Fingers: Constantly must be able to use hands and fingers to manipulate computer keyboards, paper documents, and other items such as trade show booths.
Writing: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Mental Acuity: Constantly able to quickly understand client needs and adjust to shifting priorities with the ability to navigate objection, contract terms service requirements. Strategic thinking is required to access long-term client value, anticipate trends, and align activities with company goals.
Vision: Must see well enough to safely navigate industrial environments, review detailed documents such as contracts, blueprints, emails and operating systems.
Carry, Weight, Lift: Frequently m ust be able to lift up to 25lbs to carry materials to and from customer locations. Items include but aren’t limited to laptop, presentation materials, trade show booths, etc.
Climb: Occasionally will need to climb stairs in a heavy industrial environment to complete job reviews and estimates.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl: Rarely may need to do so to see scope of work to be performed.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels within a customer organization.
- Capable of developing and executing a plan that drives constant contact and influence with existing customers and key prospects at multiple levels throughout an organization.
- Able to identify, pursue, and capture profitable revenue opportunities.
- Ability to grow one or more levels into the Mid-State Industrial Organization
- Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain service specifications.
- Consistently and accurately provide sales and other reports as required.
- Attend sales or trade meetings as required to gain information and contacts.
- Consult with clients to resolve any post-sale issues.
- Conduct research of industrial, manufacturing and processing industries and utilizing findings do develop a strategic approach to build market share.
- Build strong business to business relations with customers and prospects in targeted industries and geographic areas.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, experiences may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Prior Sales or Marketing experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- Exceptional work ethic and drive to succeed.
- Execution and results mindset
- General knowledge of heavy industrial markets is preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills required in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, exciting, and demanding environment.
- This position requires travel to various client worksites within the United States.
- Overnight travel may be required at times.
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday – Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.
- The working environment is occasionally in harsh elements (hot / humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment / machinery, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.
