Position Specifics:
Reports to: Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose:
Requires minimum supervision with some direction. Performs disassembly and assembly of components. Uses basic testing procedures, repair and rebuilds in the most efficient and safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Continually develops skills in disassembly, assembly, and repair of components and equipment.
- Performs basic testing on all machine systems.
- Works toward improving diagnostic skills on all machine systems.
- Performs all service tasks assigned by Service Manager.
- Reports to Service Manager any additional work required on machines to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Participates in all service training required for the development of skills and knowledge. Utilizes training tapes and manuals provided.
- Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments in a timely manner.
- Maintains and cares for shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly manner.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations, and uses safe practices in performing all work assignments.
- Conducts self in the presence of customers and other employees in a manner benefiting the image of the dealership.
- Performs all other duties as directed by the service manager.
