Mid South Rehab Services, Inc., Ridgeland, Mississippi, is adding a Staff Accountant to THE TEAM at our Employee Support Center in Ridgeland.
The position is full-time, in office, Monday - Friday, 8AM to 5PM. The position will be responsible for Accounts Receivable, as well as assisting the Accounting Department in the preparation of Company financial statements, and other special projects.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field required
Healthcare Accounting Experience Preferred
Experience with Sage/MAS 90 preferred
Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Must possess excellent organizational, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail

Principal Job Responsibilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Manage the Accounts Receivable process and ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts and application.
- Enter all cash receipts daily and apply appropriate journal entries.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Prepare company financial statements as directed.
- Serve as back up for daily cash management.
- Serve as back up to Accounts Payable / Purchasing as needed.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Fosters positive relationships between Employee Partners.
- Follows company expectations in regard to HIPAA/Corporate Compliance policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Cross-train in all daily and monthly processes in Accounting.
