We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Preparing management reports
- Inventory control and Quality control
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
- Learn all aspects of the accounting system and managing accounting personnel
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills'
Job Duties:
- Preparing financial statements and reports.
- Preparing management reports,
- Auditing inventory control and quality control.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations and reports.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Preparing sales tax returns.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performing other accounting duties and managing accounting personnel.
