Mid-South Metals is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to join our Inside Sales Team. This position works directly with Business Partners and coordinates with our inside sales and operations teams to keep quotes and orders moving.
The right person is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling several priorities at once. You should be able to communicate clearly, follow through, and build good working relationships with both customers and coworkers. Metal or manufacturing experience is helpful, but we are willing to train someone who brings the right attitude and work habits.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with Business Partners and internal team members
- Prepare quotes, follow up on open quotes, and keep customers informed
- Review order details for accuracy and enter information into company systems
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, CAD, and other departments to address order requirements and keep work moving
- Follow up on order status, lead times, and customer questions
- Look for opportunities to grow business with existing accounts and develop new business
- Work toward individual and team sales goals
- Maintain accurate account, quote, and order records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, or equivalent experience in industrial sales, customer service, manufacturing, or a related field
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning company systems, including CRM tools
- Able to manage multiple quotes, orders, and follow-ups without losing track of details
- Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to work with others to solve problems
- Metal or industrial distribution experience is a plus
