Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day functions in the mammography area under the direction of the Clinic Administrator. Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services. Hourly rate is based entirely on the candidate's experience.

Duties

• Perform mammography procedures with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for imaging sessions by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and addressing any concerns to foster a comfortable experience.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including sonography applications relevant to breast imaging.

Experience

• Proven experience operating mammography equipment within a healthcare setting, preferable a hospital or clinic.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy (especially breast anatomy), physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
