Job Title: Diaper Bank Coordinator Reports To: Director Of Agency Relations & Program Services Positions Supervised: None Status: Full-Time FLSA: Exempt Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday – Friday, some overtime required (including weekends)
Responsibilities:
Provides day-to-day administration by planning and managing the Diaper Bank’s operational policies, objectives, goals, and initiatives. Responsible for program and activity compliance with local, state and federal guidelines, the National Diaper Bank Network & Alliance for Period Supplies
Collaborate with internal departments to maximize donation opportunities, financial, and in-kind support; including regular strategy meetings with donor relations, development, marketing, and community relations.
Maintains professional and courteous relationships and communication with all partners, donors, and agencies. Maintains working relationships that ensure the success of the program. This includes maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with community representatives, volunteers, Food Bank management, and staff
Ensures efficient and cost-effective utilization of resources
Accurately pull orders for pickup and delivery
Load and unload delivery orders and shipments as needed
Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Diaper Bank & Food Bank safety and sanitation policies; ensure that the warehouse facility meets Shelby County Health Department guidelines by assisting in daily cleaning.
Produces monthly and annual statistical reports to identify trends and make recommendations. Collects data and writes reports related to grants and fundraising activities
Monitors program partners for compliance by conducting quarterly site visits, observing operations, and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance
Conduct initial on-site visits and assist in the orientation of new agencies to Diaper Bank ordering procedures, picking up products, reporting, etc.
Represent Bare Needs Diaper Bank at various community events and distributions to communicate volunteer opportunities, promote program activities, and raise awareness of the importance of Bare Needs Diaper Bank
Physical Requirements:
This is both sedentary in an office environment and physical work which requires the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force frequently and some light work requires the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
Work requires stooping, reaching, typing, grasping, and other repetitive motions
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Work with the Mobile Diaper Pantry, which requires driving, climbing, and additional lifting of up to 25 pounds
Visual acuity is required for driving, preparing, and analyzing written or computer data, and operating warehouse equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience; five (5) years of direct operation experience preferred
Strong human relations skills; ability to work and communicate with diverse populations
Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Ability to perform basic math functions
Prior warehouse and/or production experience preferred
Ability to solve practical problems and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, donors, and the business community
Ability to manage projects and maintain organized and detailed records
An understanding of accounting principles and budget management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A broad range of management with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, planning, team building, and multi-tasking
Strong computer skills. Excellent oral and written skills
Ability to successfully complete a Safe Food Handling Course
Ability to operate a forklift and/or manual or powered pallet jack, forklift certification a plus
