Mid-South Facility Services (MSFS)Position OverviewMid-South Facility Services is seeking an experienced Boiler Technician to support industrial and commercial facilities across the Mid-South. This role focuses on the inspection, maintenance, repair, and operation of high- and low-pressure boiler systems, steam equipment, hot water systems, pumps, burners, and associated mechanical components. The ideal candidate is a safety-driven, highly skilled industrial maintenance professional with experience working in manufacturing plants, food processing facilities, distribution centers, and other heavy industrial environments.Key ResponsibilitiesBoiler Operation & MonitoringEnsure safe and efficient operation of high-pressure and low-pressure boilers, steam systems, and supporting equipment.Perform routine checks on water levels, chemical treatment, feed systems, blowdown, pressure readings, and combustion controls.Monitor boiler rooms to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.Maintenance & RepairTroubleshoot and repair burners, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, condensate systems, steam traps, regulators, and fuel systems.Conduct preventive maintenance including tube cleaning, gasket replacement, combustion tuning, and inspection of refractory components.Diagnose issues with controls, instrumentation, and automation systems related to boiler operation.Safety & ComplianceFollow all ASME, OSHA, and facility-specific safety requirements.Document inspections, log readings, and maintenance activities accurately.Assist facilities with regulatory inspections, readiness, and compliance reporting.Technical SupportWork with plant leadership to support maintenance planning, equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and system optimizations.Provide recommendations to improve boiler efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.Qualifications3 years of experience working with industrial boiler systems preferred.Knowledge of steam systems, hydronics, burners (gas/oil), high-pressure equipment, and combustion controls.Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic, and equipment manuals.Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.Current Boiler Operator License (preferred but not required depending on territory).Experience with PLCs, BAS, or industrial controls is a plus.Commitment to safety and adherence to maintenance standards.Ability to work independently, travel locally, and respond to occasional after-hours or emergency calls.
