Only candidates with hands-on experience in blown film extrusion will be considered for this role. Applicants must have prior experience operating Reifenhauser, Alpine, or W&H extrusion equipment.

We are currently hiring an Extruder Operator I to join our growing operations team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our production lines operate efficiently and safely, while delivering exceptional product quality.

What You’ll Do

As an Extruder Operator I, you will:

·         Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for 1–2 extrusion lines following established operating protocols.

·         Monitor film quality throughout production: checking thickness, width, and visual appearance to ensure all standards are met.

·         Load raw materials and maintain continuous operation of the extruder.

·         Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

·         Keep accurate records of production data and material usage.

·         Maintain a clean and organized work area, supporting 5S and safety initiatives.

·         Collaborate with your team during changeovers and daily operations to meet production goals.

·         Participate in ongoing training and development to advance your skills and qualify for higher operator classifications.

What We’re Looking For

·         1–2 years of experience in extrusion experience.

·         Ability to read and use measuring tools, such as tape measures and calipers.

·         Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

·         Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

·         Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 65 lbs for extended periods.

·         Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

·         Willingness to learn and grow within the company.

·         Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Work Environment

This is a full-time hourly position working 8:00 AM–8:00 PM or 8:00 PM–8:00 AM on a rotating monthly schedule (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next). Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where PPE is required at all times.
