Job Description
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on the production and company facilities.
Shift: 3rd shift- 11pm to 7:30am
Pay: $36.47 - $45.58/hr * (depending on experience and skills)
*Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6pm-6am*
Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work
Experience:
- Must have 3 – 5 years of experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Experience developing, programing and troubleshooting PLC’s preferred
- Must have a stable consistent work history
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must have the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Must have an excellent mechanical background: conveyers, pneumatics, hydraulics* (a plus)
- Must be proficient in production line automation
- Proficient in troubleshooting 230/480 motor control circuits and VF Drives
- Strong background working with electrical meters is required
- Some experience with CMMS preferred
Education/Certifications:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Prefer an Associate Degree or a Certificate in Electronics
- Prefer an Electrical Journeyman’s License
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May need to fill in as shift supervisor in their absence.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity.
- Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.
- Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
- Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Sons will be provided.
