Position Overview
The IT Access Analyst is responsible for creation, removal, and maintenance of user access permissions and access controls for various information technology solutions and business applications. This individual works with persons responsible for each system (system owners), company management and supervisors, as well as system vendors, consultants, and other Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) staff to ensure proper access is in place and thoroughly documented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administers user access to wide range of information technology solutions and business applications, including, but not limited to, the main operating system, email, banking and financial software, lending software, and other administered programs as assigned.

Manages user access administration requests, including, but not limited to, the following requests received:
- New hire, modification, and termination access rights requests initiated by the Human Resources department.
- Approved access service requests submitted by end-users (staff).
- Access adjustments identified during routine audits (such audits led by internal audit, external audit firms, and regulators).
- Access adjustments identified in regular department-led user access audit and review process.
- Administers user access to various information technology solutions and business applications and maintains procedural instructions for administered systems.
- Maintains awareness of information security laws, regulations, best practices, frameworks, standards, trends, and internal policies and processes.
- Applies knowledge of information security and risk mitigation principles, theories, and techniques in daily work.
- Maintains current knowledge of the various technologies utilized by the company; keeps current on all industry-specific emerging technology and access trends.
- Assists in the development and implementation of new applications and technologies as required.
- Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of pertinent information.
- Works independently and takes initiative to complete projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Assists IT/IS management with various administrative duties as requested.
- Performs access related audits and coordinates necessary adjustments with appropriate staff.
- Recommends access changes as appropriate to achieve proper and secure provisioning for consideration to supervisor or business system owners.
- Provides access information and reports on request to applicable access oversight parties (i.e., auditors or examiners).
- Screens, evaluates, and identifies security related risks and makes recommendations to direct supervisor.
- Coordinates audit-related tasks and works with IT/IS management to ensure readiness of department for audit testing.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment, which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Plays an active role in protecting the organization and its customers against fraud by incorporating risk awareness and prevention into daily responsibilities.
- Assigns, modifies, and removes user access based on job responsibilities.
- Assigns, modifies, and removes group access settings as approved.
- Maintains detailed documentation for all access provisioned, modified, or removed for use in regular review and audit, primarily through use of the company’s ticketing system.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
- Develops objectives, plans, schedules, and tasks related to access management activities.
- Effectively interfaces with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels using business terminology and not technical jargon.
- Responds to inquiries relating to his / her area, or to requests from auditors, vendors, other company personnel, etc., within given periods and within established policy.
- Utilizes listening skills and communication skills to present ideas and articulate concepts.
Education & Qualifications
- A B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field of study preferred, or equivalent related work experience and / or training.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in related position(s) normally required.

Pay Transparency
