Position Summary
The Senior Commercial HVAC Piping Installer is an advanced craft professional responsible for the independent execution of complex refrigeration and hydronic piping installations across commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, leads by example in quality and safety, and serves as a technical resource for less experienced installers on the crew. The Senior Piping Installer is expected to consistently produce inspection-ready work, contribute to field problem-solving, and uphold the Meriton standard of extraordinary service on every project.
This position is distinguished from the Piping Installer by a deeper technical repertoire, greater independence in field execution, the ability to interpret and resolve complex field conditions without direct supervision, and an expectation of informal leadership on the job site. Senior Piping Installers are frequently assigned to the most technically demanding scopes within a project and are a critical resource for schedule performance and first-time quality.
Meriton Alignment
This role directly advances two of Meriton's four Guiding Pillars: Deliver Extraordinary Service and Build a World-Class Team. The Senior Piping Installer demonstrates mastery of craft while lifting the capability of the team around them. In doing so, this individual embodies the 'We Always' behaviors that define Meriton culture: Win Together, Own Our Work, Champion Safety, Invest in the Future, and Move with Purpose. Senior craft professionals are the backbone of MOAC's field execution capability and represent the Meriton brand on every job site.
Core Responsibilities

This is a field-based position working across active commercial, industrial, and institutional job sites throughout the Mid-Ohio region. The Senior Piping Installer will regularly work in mechanical rooms, above ceilings, on rooftops, in confined spaces, and at heights. Work is performed year-round in varied weather conditions.
