What are the responsibilities and job description for the Small Engine Mechanic position at Mid NJ Power Equipment Shop w/ 2 Locations?
The small engine mechanic will independently perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and dealer owned lawn and outdoor power equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on lawn equipment.
- Participates in all job-related training and development.
- Fills out and completes work orders for repair jobs assigned.
- Maintains current knowledge of products.
- Maintains condition of shop, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules
Compensation:
- Hourly, depends on experience
Hours:
- Full Time 8-5 M-F
Qualifications:
- Valid, clean driver's license is required
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance on engines using special tools and equipment
Must have own tools
