Responsibilities
- Install new garage doors, openers, and related hardware following safety standards and building codes
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on existing garage door systems to ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools, power tools and other mechanical tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately assemble and install components
- Conduct electrical work related to garage door openers and safety sensors while adhering to electrical codes
- Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repair needs and maintenance procedures with excellent customer service skills
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in garage door installation or repair is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring devices
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Experience interpreting technical drawings or schematics for accurate installation or repair work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Knowledge of electrical work related to garage door openers and sensors is advantageous
