What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Drama Director - High School position at Mid-Michigan Area Public Schools Consortium?
- Assist in producing a fall and spring play
- Assist in reviewing and choosing plays
- Attend rehearsals
- Assist in creating practice and performance schedules
- Assist in communicating times for auditions, practices, and other events.
- Assist in reviewing and supporting rules for rehearsals/building time as needed
- Audition actors
- Uphold rules of participation
- Plan with the crew (stage manager) the items in storage and those to be sourced for props/sets
- Supervise and direct cast and crew during rehearsals, practices, and performances
- Assist and train crew with lights and sound
- Recruit extra help for shows as needed
- Assist in collecting and submitting funds taken in from shows and fundraisers
- Assist in organizing timely clean-up post-show (take down sets, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by the Lead Director
