What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Building Skilled Erector position at Mid-Land Enterprises?
Mid-Land Enterprises is seeking Skilled Metal Building Erectors to join our team in Joplin,
Missouri. This position is a full-time, hourly position with great benefits!
This position will:
- Work hand-in-hand with our Foreman and Leads to erect metal buildings.
- Work with structural steel and/or existing buildings to upgrade internal and external components.
- Install metal sheeting on walls and roof, trim metal around openings, rolled insulation, and large beams.
- Cut materials with hand and power tools.
- Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Operate machinery, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, telehandlers, and boom lifts.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in metal building erection.
- Common understanding of standing seam/screw down roofs, Simple Saver, pre- engineered metal buildings and structural steel.
- Ability to work on sheeting, roofing, and in the fabrication environment.
- Familiar with blueprints.
- Have professional, effective verbal communication skills.
