Inside Sales Representative

Department: Sales 

Reports to: Sales Manager 

Position Summary: 

• The inside dealer representative serves as a internal support resource for the Mid Kansas Auto Auction’s sales organization while actively building and maintaining relationships with buying and selling customers.  

• This role includes but not limited to: 

• • Service excellence 

• • Operational-Sales support 

• • Vehicle coordination with allied departments 

• • Administrative sales support 

• • Sales-Marketing Support 
    

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Customer Relationship Management 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with buying and selling customers 

• Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers 

• Promote upcoming sales, events, promotions and customer incentives 

• Follow up with inactive dealers to encourage renewed activity 

• Contact sellers for future selling opportunities 

• Assist customers with auction procedures and provide operational support including auction policies 

• Maintain CRM notes on customer interaction 

• Support customer visit coordination (auction & dealership) 

• Support auction marketing (sales packets, new customer packets & etc.) 

• Day of Sale support (i.e. Conditional Offers and etc.) 

• Liaison with auction departments (i.e. Front Office, Accounting, Condition Report, Mechanical, Detail and Lot Operations) 

• Support vehicles moving through auction process 

• Escalating issues affecting customer and/or customer’s vehicle(s) 

• Other duties as management requires 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities preferred 

• Strong soft skills 

• Auto Auction Experience 

• Automotive dealership experience 

• Fleet management experience 

• Sales Experience 

• Service excellence 

• Account management experience 

• Project management experience 

• Auction inventory management system experience 
• Demonstrated Microsoft Program knowledge
