Head Start Assistant Teacher – Grinnell

We provide ongoing training opportunities, including assistance in completing a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential during work hours. Additional educational opportunities through Iowa AEYC TEACH Program and our partnership with Buena Vista University.
We offer an excellent benefit package including 12 paid holidays, generous paid time off and a casual work environment. Position is full-time, 40 daytime hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 months per year. Up to $13.23 per hour commensurate with education.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preference given to candidates with the following: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential appropriate for the age group with which they will be working, OR Applicants enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education AND experience working with children 0-5 years of age.
