DEPARTMENT: MID-DEL TECHNOLOGY CENTER

Position Summary

Provide administrative assistance and customer service support for the Mid-Del Technology Center Testing and Assessment Center by assisting with the scheduling, preparation, and administering of ODCTE Competency Assessments, CareerTech Student Organizations, Accuplacer, various industry certifications, academic, state, industry certification tests and other assessments. Maintain testing security and compliance, process financial and testing records, and support daily operations of the Testing and Assessment Center. Assist the Student Success Center by providing support, including employability resources, student assistance, and other services that contribute to student success. Perform general clerical and administrative assistant duties while delivering quality service to students, staff, and external customers.

Qualification Requirements

  • Associate Degree preferred but not required.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong verbal skills, persuasive/creative skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Model professionalism through appearance, conduct, attitude, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to organize and maintain records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to students individually or in a group setting.
  • Ability to work with a team and contribute ideas and new processes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, and proctor CTE , state, industry, and certification exams for internal and external customers in a secure testing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE) and third-party testing vendor policies, procedures, and testing regulations.
  • Maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of testing materials, records, and candidate information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
  • Collect, maintain, and report to MDTC Administration, CTIMS, PowerSchool, and other required reporting systems.
  • Process and maintain activity fund requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices in compliance with district financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development to remain current on testing procedures, certification requirements, and industry updates.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with testing standards.
  • Assist the Student Success Coordinator with student employability preparation, including résumé development, mock interviews, and other career readiness activities.
  • Support the Student Success Center and Student Services Team by assisting with enrollment, recruitment, student engagement initiatives, and other student services activities while collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Mid-Del Technology Center Administration.

Language And Grammar Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fume or airborne particles. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, extreme cold (including outdoors), extreme heat (including direct sunlight), risk of electrical shock and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment will vary from somewhat loud to extremely loud.

To ensure continuity of services, a different work location may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires the closing of school and/or office buildings. An employee’s eligibility for a varied work location will be determined by the superintendent of schools. Expectations and guidelines for this change will be distributed by the employee’s supervisor, based on his/her role and responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Employee may occasionally be required to supervise a varying number of employees in the overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.
