The WAP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Weatherization Assistance Program, ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Energy and Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) guidelines. This role supervises energy auditors and program staff, manages contractor activities, and ensures high-quality, cost-effective weatherization services for eligible households.
General Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the Weatherization Assistance Program
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including U.S. Department of Energy and Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) requirements
- Supervise, train, and support program staff, including Energy Auditors and WAP Specialists.
- Review and approve audits, work scopes, and completed projects for quality and accuracy
- Manage contractor relationships, including procurement, performance monitoring, and cost negotiations
- Monitor production goals and performance outcomes
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and data entry in program systems
- Maintain effective communication with staff, contractors, agencies, and clients
- Support continuous program improvement and perform other duties as assigned
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned to support agency operations and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 3–5 years of weatherization, energy auditing, or housing program experience preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
