We are looking for a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of lumber, millwork, and heavy construction materials to residential and commercial jobsites. This role requires a professional driver who is comfortable with local routes, heavy lifting, and operating specialized equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Operate tractor-trailers and heavy trucks (GVW over 26,000 lbs) to deliver products in and around Mid-Missouri.
- Load Securement: Ensure all lumber and building materials are correctly stacked, braced, and secured using straps or chains to prevent shifting during transit.
- Equipment Operation: Use forklifts, truck-mounted hoists (Moffetts), or boom trucks to load and unload materials at various jobsite terrains.
- ComplianceSafety: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain accurate DOT driver logs and follow all federal and state motor carrier regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Provide high-quality service at delivery sites, verifying load accuracy against tickets and assisting with returns as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience is preferred.
- Physical Strength: Ability to consistently lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 80–100 lbs.
- DOT Requirements: Must pass a DOT-regulated background check and drug screen.
- Skills: Proficiency with digital navigation tools and the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight residential or construction areas.
