Position Summary
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for organizing and supervising maintenance personnel. This role includes training, coaching, and disciplining employees; prioritizing work orders; overseeing preventive maintenance; and ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and facilities while maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage maintenance personnel
- Prioritize and assign maintenance work orders
- Perform and oversee preventive maintenance, equipment and facility repairs
- Troubleshoot machinery, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain the Odyssey ERP system
- Ensure a safe and compliant work environment
- Coordinate and enforce maintenance policies and procedures
- Source spare parts and identify suppliers for new or non‑inventoried items
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from contractors
- Maintain spare part inventory
- Coordinate and manage contractors for projects and outsourced preventive maintenance
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in machine maintenance and repair preferred
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Welding experience required
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to coach, monitor, and discipline employees
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Strong basic math and computer skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Regular lifting up to 25 lbs; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching
- Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions
