Compliance/Safety Officer
At Mid City Corporation, we are constantly stiving to provide exceptional customer service while tackling the most challenging of problems for our clients. As a compliance officer, you will be responsible for ensuring company processes and procedures are followed. We are looking for a driven energetic individual to grow with our team.
Tasks
- Assist with creation and implementation of policies and protocols
- Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure the company operates in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking them
- Remain up to date on state and federal laws related to the company and make recommendations for policy updates accordingly
- Maintain up to date written documentation on employees licenses and registrations
- Coordinate incident reporting including completing necessary follow up
- Oversee company safety policy including implementation of Safety Policy
- Regularly visit jobsites to evaluate policy compliance. We estimate the position will be 80% office and 20% fieldwork
- Maintain company asset records and assist with asset data management
Qualifications
- 3 years experience in risk management, compliance, or safety role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Desire to collaborate with management and tradesman
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret documents and policies
- Ability to multi-task and efficiently maintain multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong time management skills
- Strong moral code and sense of ethics
- Valid Drivers license
Desired Skills
- Experience in the construction industry
- DOT Compliance experience
- BS in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, or related field
