Middle School Mathematics Teacher

Position Summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher who is passionate about accelerating student achievement and committed to developing strong minds and good hearts. Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Curriculum

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction using CSUSA-approved curriculum and pacing guides
• Implement research-based instructional strategies to support diverse learners
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including ESE, ELL, and advanced learners
• Integrate mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and real-world applications

Assessment & Data Use

• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress
• Analyze data regularly to inform instruction and participate in MTSS/RTI processes
• Provide timely, actionable feedback to students to support growth

Classroom Culture & Management

• Establish a structured, positive classroom environment rooted in CSUSA values: Purpose, Passion, Integrity, and Grit
• Promote student accountability, collaboration, and perseverance
• Implement school-wide behavior expectations consistently

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate actively in professional development, coaching, and collaborative planning
• Maintain accurate records, grades, and lesson plans in accordance with school policies
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and expectations
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to support student success

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid state teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Mathematics (Middle Grades)
• Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement

Preferred:

• Middle school teaching experience
• Experience with data-driven instruction and MTSS
• Familiarity with charter school environments

Skills & Competencies

• Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
• Ability to engage middle school learners effectively
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools
• Commitment to continuous professional growth

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Classroom-based position with regular standing, walking, and student interaction
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform classroom-related duties
