Can Delivery & Utility Associate (Martinsville)

The Can Delivery Driver & Utility Worker is responsible for transporting waste and recycling carts and containers to customer locations and other hauling areas in a safe, yet timely manner, Grounds keeping and facility clean-up.

• Timely delivery of residential and commercial carts and cans.
• Transporting front load cans to other hauling areas
• Clean dumpsters for repair utilizing pressure washing tools and solutions
• Clean residential carts utilizing pressure washing tools and solutions
• Installation of lids, decals and can numbers
• Other duties assigned by the manager, including but not limited to errands, inventory and clean-up.
• Grounds keeping- including mowing, weed eating and trash pick-up.
• Some facility clean-up (sweeping, mopping etc.)

Work environment and expectations

• The normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a heavy-duty commercial vehicle and/or mower. Shifts are Monday - Friday and occasional Saturdays.
• Attendance of quarterly Safety Training and committee meetings at all locations.
• Position requires sitting, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, twisting and turning.

• Company provided commercial vehicle
• Landscaping tools-lawn mower and weed eater
• Personal protective equipment includes, but not limited to gloves, hard hats, boots, safety goggles/glasses and safety vest.
• Tools included but not limited to broom or shovel
• Two-way radio or cellular device.
• Computer/Laptop, Printer, Scanner, copier
