Full-Time Patient Representative—Mid-Atlantic Family Practice
POSITION SUMMARY
Candidates will work shifts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday. Mid-Atlantic Family Practice is a member of MDVIP.
PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES
· Acknowledge patients
· Verify up-to-date address, phone, and insurance information with patient
· Enter new patient information
- Schedule and reschedule patient follow-ups per the provider’s request
· Answer patient questions
· Maintain a clean waiting room
- Collect copays and account balances
- Enter payments collected
· Answer phones as needed
· Respond to voicemails
· Faxing, scanning, and copying documents
· Process weekly timesheets from therapists and file as required
· Maintain patient insurance authorizations, obtaining weekly
· Participate in network and marketing events and activities
POSITION REQUIRMENTS
- Experience obtaining prior authorizations a plus.
- Experience working in an outpatient medical practice
- Experience with Athena - Electronic Medical Record
- Demonstrated success with the ability to be flexible as needed.
- Demonstrated success in working independently and as a team.
- Demonstrated success in computer skills including ability to use computers for scheduling.
- Demonstrated success in providing outstanding patient customer service/patient skills in the general public.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical practices and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a great multi-tasker.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experienceBENEFITS
- $250 bonus upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
