We are seeking an experienced Government Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects within government contracts. Duties
- Lead and supervise construction activities on government projects, ensuring all work meets contractual requirements and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using construction management software.
- Oversee daily operations on-site, including managing subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams.
- Read and interpret schematics and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of plans.
- Monitor project progress through site inspections, quality control checks, and adherence to project timelines.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating and budgeting tasks.
- Ensure compliance with EM 385-1, OSHA, USACE, and NAVFAC regulations and enforce safety protocols across the site.
- Coordinate with project managers on contract administration, change orders, and project documentation using construction management software.
- Supervise the work of field personnel, providing guidance and overall management of multiple jobsites.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on government or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Supervising experience in a construction environment with a strong understanding of project scheduling and management tools such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety standards including EM 385-1, NAVFAC, USACE, and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Strong management skills with a history of supervising diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Relevant certifications in construction management or related fields are preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
