What We Do

Simply put, we help save lives — and we’re proud to say we’ve been nationally recognized for how well we do it. We conduct and fund game-changing research. We educate the public to prevent medical issues and the need for transplants. We offer grief resources to donor families. Pioneer new facilities and protocols that improve the viability of organ and tissue donations. We provide affordable, temporary housing for transplant patients and their families. Partner with community organizations to drive donor registration. We meet with schools, clergy, and local leaders to share our cause and our message. The Position

The Educator, Clinical Operations is responsible for maximizing donation through the education, development, and onboarding of Organ Procurement Coordinators and Organ Recovery Coordinators.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead role specific onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring alignment with instructional designed plans, learning objectives and content activities.
  • Conduct follow-up sessions with new hires and their manager(s), providing feedback to reinforce skill development and manage expectations.
  • Assess and evaluate learner performance through observation, knowledge checks and feedback; document and track outcomes in LMS system.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, structured and engaging learning environment that supports adult learning principles, diverse learning styles and operational needs.
  • Facilitate learning. Use knowledge about participants’ capabilities, skills and abilities in training activities, examples and discussions that relate content to participants’ real-life experiences.
  • Ensure education programs equip team members with the skills necessary to effectively optimize organ viability along with understanding organ allocation processes to increase utilization and drive measurable improvements in donation outcomes.
  • Regularly observe, provide feedback, and engage with field employees to enhance or better understand the technical skills or training that is needed to support the clinical process.
  • Provide tools and resources (job aids, quick guides, talking points) that support real-time performance in the field.
  • In collaboration with Instructional Design Department, design and develop program content and determine training delivery mechanisms of all training.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s degree in nursing, bachelor’s in nursing and CEPTC preferred
  • 2 years’ Organ Procurement Coordinator Experience, 1 year as a Preceptor
  • Knowledge of impact of job performance on safety of donated organs and tissue on recipient outcomes
  • Desire and willingness to provide feedback to team members as needed
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority
  • Ability to adapt training to diverse audiences and learning styles
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build/maintain relationships
  • Attempts to solve problems and identify issues that need to be escalated
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and organizational values
