The Position:
The Internal Communications & Change Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing internal communication strategies. This role will have specific focus on supporting organizational change, engaging through listening and improving overall communication in the organization. This includes fostering integrated communication across multiple channels, supporting change management initiatives, and collaborating with leadership to deliver impactful messages internally.
Job Responsibilities:
Internal Communications
- Establish and drive a multi-channel internal communications strategy with consistent messaging and feedback mechanisms to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned.
- Support, develop, create, and distribute internal content (e.g., digital, video, print).
- Develop and manage an internal communications calendar to ensure consistent, aligned messaging across departments and channels.
- Support leadership with internal communications, including announcements, all-hands meetings, town halls and presentations.
- Design and execute communication strategies to enhance employee awareness of benefits, total rewards, health initiatives, and other well-being initiatives.
Digital Communications and Tools
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Support digital tool adoption, including Axios, Quantum, Teams and SharePoint by raising awareness and providing guidance on effective use.
- Collaborate with IT and leaders to manage enterprise mailboxes, define new distribution groups, and explore analytics tools to enhance communication.
Change Management and Transformation Support
- Support communication and change management efforts for various projects.
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms to assess sentiment, identify trends, and provide data for targeted interventions
- Partner with senior leaders to ensure all internal communications align with the organization’s values and transformation goals.
- Partner with Workforce, Performance Excellence and cross-functional teams to measure the effectiveness of change management communication efforts and implement improvements based on feedback.
Administration
- Collaborate with the Communications team on a communication strategy that aligns internally and externally.
- Design presentations that align with brand standards and effectively communicate key messages
- Provide backup to the Communications and Administration team
- Perform other tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field strongly preferred.
- 3 years of experience in change management, internal communications, or a corporate communications role within a distributed workforce.
- Proven experience with content creation and delivery across multiple platforms (e.g., email, newsletters, intranet, presentations, video, Town Halls).
- Strong proficiency in leveraging and administering internal communication tools, including intranet platforms and internal email software, specifically within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Proven data-driven approach using engagement and sentiment data to refine strategies and enhance employee experiences.

Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong ability to craft compelling, engaging, and clear communications tailored to different employee audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Creative ability to devise and integrate communication strategies across various channels.
- Expertise in change management principles, methodologies, and tools a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics and build relationships across all levels.
- Confident and professional demeanor to liaise with leaders and prepare them with effective messaging.
- Skilled in data collection methods including observations, focus groups, interviews, surveys and assessments.
- Proficiency in measuring and presenting data-driven recommendations.
Work Environment & Travel Requirements:
- This role is in the office for the first six months. Following a successful onboarding one day a week remotely may be arranged.
- This position requires up to 10% of domestic travel for business needs.
