- Assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and advance directives with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across areas including estate law, UCC law, tribal law & regulations, family law, securities law, and environmental law to support case development
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw for efficient retrieval and review
- Review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws; proofread all drafts meticulously
- Interview clients to gather necessary information for estate planning documents while providing excellent client service
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts or relevant authorities in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining meticulous records of case progress
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather pertinent case law and statutes relevant to estate planning and related legal areas
- Assist in the review of contracts and other legal agreements related to estate planning matters
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating communication among team members
- Proven experience as a paralegal within a law office environment, preferably with a focus on estate planning or related fields such as family law or securities law
- Strong knowledge of estate planning principles, UCC law, landlord-tenant law, tribal regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, immigration law, environmental law, litigation procedures, and legal drafting techniques
- Proficiency with legal case management software including PCLaw, iManage, Westlaw, LexisNexis; familiarity with document review systems is highly desirable
- Excellent research skills utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case development across multiple legal disciplines
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective interviewing skills coupled with strong written communication abilities for drafting clear legal documents
- Experience in proofreading, transcription, data entry, filing, and clerical tasks within a busy legal setting
- Outstanding phone etiquette and client service skills to assist clients professionally and empathetically
- Ability to handle administrative responsibilities such as calendar management and document organization efficiently
