Role Description The Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurately processing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining payroll records, calculating wages, overtime, and deductions, administering garnishments, and coordinating with HR on employee benefits and changes. This role also involves preparing payroll reports, reconciling payroll accounts with accounting, responding to employee payroll inquiries, and supporting audits as needed. The position is a full-time, on-site role located in Overland Park, KS, working closely with finance and human resources teams to support smooth payroll operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Payroll Administration skills, including end-to-end payroll processing and record maintenance.
- Knowledge of Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, with the ability to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Experience managing Employee Benefits related to payroll, such as deductions, contributions, and leave tracking.
- Foundational Accounting skills to reconcile payroll data, prepare reports, and support financial accuracy.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel), and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and support employee inquiries.
- Prior experience in payroll or accounting; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
