What are the responsibilities and job description for the Term Worker - Assistant Baseball Coach position at MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY INC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the Head Baseball Coach in all facets of running the baseball program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the conduct, discipline, and positive character of student–athletes by the guidelines and principles of MACU and the NAIA Champions of Character initiative.
- Coach or direct players in the techniques of the game.
- Help plan and develop a recruitment plan; recruiting potential college athletes.
- Supervise, conduct, and control all practice and training sessions for the reserve team.
- Lead and develop programs that will strengthen the character of student athletics.
- Compose and compile all game statistics.
- Maintain a professional-looking complex for recruits, visiting teams, students, and alumni ensuring the upkeep of equipment and gear throughout the year.

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands to successfully perform the job are listed as lifting boxes of equipment, lifting and moving soccer goals for training, carrying equipment to and from the fields, and being able to handle heavy machinery such as mowers, edgers, etc. Must be able to lift and carry approximately 45 lbs.
