Warehouse Associate

Mid Am Building Supply is looking for a Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator!

Responsible for loading outbound trucks, unloading and organizing inbound merchandise, and performing general clean-up tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

SCHEDULE

8 a.m - 4:45 p.m. (with a 45-minute lunch)

PAY: $21.00/hr

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Unload building materials from our customers’ and suppliers’ trucks.
• Put away or stock inbound materials.
• Pull customers’ orders from inventory on hand.
• Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
• Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
• Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
• Assist in counting inventory.
• Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
• Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
• Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of building materials a plus.

• Frequently walk, sit, stand
• Frequently lift up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently use arm, hand, leg, foot, and grasping motion to operate controls
• Lift, push, or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
