Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Microwave Module Design/Manufacturing Engineering Contractor role based in Fremont, CA. The responsibilities include designing and developing microwave module components, performing testing and verification, and implementing manufacturing processes for high-performance RF and microwave products. The contractor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet technical specifications and industry standards. Additional tasks involve troubleshooting performance issues and maintaining documentation related to design and manufacturing workflows.
Qualifications
- Expertise in RF and Microwave module design, including power amplifiers, LNAs, and other RF components
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes for semiconductor and microwave devices, including assembly, screening, and testing
- Experience with industry-standard tools for RF simulation and design (e.g., AWR, ADS) and proficiency in CAD software
- Strong troubleshooting skills to optimize product performance and resolve design challenges
- Understanding and application of MIL-STD standards, such as MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, and related protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document workflows and collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; relevant work experience in the RF and Microwave industry
- Knowledge of space assembly requirements and experience with military and aerospace applications is a significant advantage
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR export control requirements.
