ANTENNA RF TEST TECHNICIAN

Microwave Engineering Corporation, located in North Andover, MA, is a growing, well-established leader in the defense electronics industry. The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom-engineered passive microwave components, antennas, and subsystems. We are currently seeking a motivated RF test technician with strong mechanical and mathematical skills to work in our antenna department. Position Summary

The RF Test Technician will assemble, test, and tune a variety of different antenna elements.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

· No prior experience is required

· Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident)

Desired Skills

· Strong hands-on aptitude with mechanical assembly, including the use of hand tools, fixtures, and precision measurement equipment

· Experience assembling and tuning antenna types such as spiral, horn, biconical, and omnidirectional antennas

· Familiarity with RF test equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators

· Ability to follow detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions with a high degree of accuracy

· Experience with soldering under magnification

· Understanding of basic microwave principles, including impedance matching, VSWR, and signal propagation

· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues during testing and tuning

· High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality, repeatable results

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production or lab environment

· Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and collaborating with engineering teams

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and antenna designs

· Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled environment (e.g., ISO or defense industry standards) is a plus

Compensation: $22 - $35/hour, commensurate with experience
