Position Summary
Microvast is seeking a leading school bus powertrain engineer to join our team! Who can bring their fresh perspectives and experiences to the team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical, and cross-functional support for school bus electrical powertrain engineering activities, including requirements definition, architecture design, software implementation, HIL testing, field testing, system validation, and software release management.
Collaborate with the global teams and upper management to identify and develop electrical powertrain architecture and requirements for school bus.
Manage electrical powertrain development plans, milestones, budgets, and schedules in accordance with technology roadmaps.
Provide technical layouts and proposals to customer inquiries
Coordination of the system interfaces between the individual departments as well as coordination of the same with the customer
Preparation of technical documentation
Support methodical root cause analysis and resolve non-compliance issues in part performance
Handle engineering tools
Support for the commissioning of products internally or at the customer's (-site or remotely)
Support and managing prototypes
Other duties may be assigned
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or other relevant engineering field (f/m/d) or a comparable qualification
Minimum 3 years of experience in the e-mobility/ commercial vehicle powertrain
Solid technical expertise of electrical powertrain for heavy duty commercial vehicles or school buses
Knowledge of requirements management and development process (IATF16949, APQP or V model, etc.)
Knowledge of the methods of advance quality planning / quality assurance in development
Experience in use of MS Office, engineering analysis Tools (e.g. CANalyzer, Matlab) in a windows-environment
Very good comprehension and analytical thinking skills
Careful and conscientious, structured and organized way of working
Team and communication skills
