Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry processes efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels in accordance with hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks with precision.
• Utilize safety data sheets (SDS) to handle chemical agents safely and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all cleaning activities.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure floors are well-maintained through proper floor care techniques.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure guest safety at all times during cleaning operations or in case of incidents.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or moving cleaning supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
• Contribute to overall hotel housekeeping management by maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work within a hospitality environment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices, floor cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards required for hotel operations.
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly by understanding chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Strong manual handling skills with the physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols essential for maintaining a secure environment.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, or other industrial tools is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness across multiple areas.
