Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Manage laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently.
• Clean floors using specialized floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning and polishing hard surfaces to maintain their appearance.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols for proper manual handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces when required, including sweeping walkways or patio areas.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are maintained in good working order.
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and manage time effectively to complete tasks promptly without compromising quality.
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly, including kitchen counters, bathroom fixtures, windows, and appliances.
• Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and the use of various cleaning detergents and equipment.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day.
• Ability to work outdoors when necessary and handle outdoor cleaning tasks confidently.
• Customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients or residents.
• Familiarity with carpet cleaning techniques and floor care methods is advantageous.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or facility management is a plus.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, and manual labor for extended periods.
