OVERVIEW: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for attending to the needs of guests, especially during check-in and check-out. The essential job functions are listed below, but may include duties which are outside of these job functions which are required to meet the need of the organization. THE HOURS ARE.3PM-11PM 5 DAYS A WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU ARE A SERIOUS CANDIDATE.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm, friendly demeanor and assist with efficient
- check-in and registration processes.
- Manage check-in/check-out procedures, including room assignments, reservation
- verification, payment processing, and accurate folio handling.
- Take, modify, or cancel reservations by phone, online, or in person while maximizing
- room revenue and occupancy.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries about hotel amenities, services, local attractions,
- dining, and transportation.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues professionally, escalating to management when necessary
- Process financial transactions, post charges, reconcile accounts, and maintain accuraterecords.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to fulfill special guest requests.
- Perform laundry duties as needed.
- Clean and maintain the office, lobby, lobby bathroom, and front desk area to ensure a clean, professional, and welcoming environment at all times.
- Assist with night audit duties as required, including balancing accounts and preparing reports.
- Promote hotel services, amenities, and local opportunities to enhance the guestexperience.
- Maintain hotel safety, security, and hygiene protocols.
- Language, Math and Reasoning
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- There are no specific requirements for this position.
- COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Basic typing and word processing skills Knowledge of the Synxis operating system is a plus
