Summary:

The Plant HR Manager will play a critical role as a member of the plant's leadership team in supporting the operational goals through effective HR strategies while fostering a positive and enriching work environment for employees. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day HR operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the plant's operational goals through HR strategy, including working with key facility leadership on workforce planning and development
  • Act as a member of the plant leadership team in achieving general day-to-day plant goals and needs
  • Provide full employee life cycle services including engagement, retention, performance management, employee relations, and training as it fits into the operational goals and support needs of the facility.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local employment and benefit laws and regulations
  • In partnership with leadership, support health and safety initiatives to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and laws in occupational safety and health
  • Ensure a positive candidate and hiring experience, including pre-employment and onboarding processes
  • Liaison with temporary contractor agencies and manage relationships and overall support
  • Update and maintain timely and accurate employee and payroll data
  • Continuously find ways to improve and streamline processes that support operational goals
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus
  • Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel to Tucson, AZ quarterly
